KJ Works SIG 9226 review

I thought I would do a review of my P226 from KJ Works.
Firstly I haven't really used this much in combat as this is England and you know how it is. But I have used it a few times on and off the field, and it has a lovely feel to it. The weight of the pistol is in the top slide and the magazine as there metal, and the main body of the pistol is a very high quality plastic. Also if using the right stuff it also has quite a nice kick to it and nice accuracy.

After playing with it for a while i noticed this pistol works allot better with .30 - .35 ammunition, .20 bb's work but just don't cut it to well in my opinion. Also during the colder months "Kickass gas" works much better than other brands of green gas. I wouldn't recommend it during the summertime though as you will be putting unessential strain on the slide witch even in metal slide guns, its best to keep to a minimum to avoid any wear.

Another handy little accessory is the de-cocking lever just like the real thing, giving you the option to put the hammer into 3 different positions. It makes up for the fact the pistol has no safety feature.

(the semi cocked option gives the trigger more resistance, so you can have it in your holster cocked without shooting yourself in the foot :P)

One thing that bothered me as soon as I took it from its box was the magazine wobbled inside the body, causing a rattle... this was a easy fix. Just wrap some electrical tape around it no more than ones (or the mag wont fit) and your sorted, no wobble!.

This pistol is also very easy to field strip, you could probably even do it mid-game, as the diagram I made below shows.

(push the mag release, removing the mag, pull the lever forward half way and slide the top slide off...)

To re-attach the slide simply pull the hammer back, slide it on the way it came off, pull the slide right back, push the slide lock up locking the slide back, and push the lever that unlocks the slide from the body back into position... put your mag back in and there go.

You can pop the slide off, replace parts, clean it in a matter of 30 seconds, witch I like allot.

Pro's:
-Nice feel, hard kick
-Accurate with the right BB's
-Easy to maintain
-De-cocking function
-RIS
-Nice clear indented sights

Con's:
-Not good in cold weather
-Magazine rattle (easy fix)
-Gas hog
-No genuine trades (if your into that kind of thing)
-No safety
